stretched cluster static routes

hi

i am implementing a:

-vsan 6.6 stretched cluster (2+2+1)

-using different vlans for vsan, mgt,vmotion on all sites

-on each vmkernel i override the default gateway on all sites

Questions:

1- do i have to do static routes command for ESXi vmkernels ?

2- in version 6.6 do i have to use multicast between data sites.

     and unicast between data and witness sites ?

1. Is this all on the same L2 or over L3? Depending on this and other aspects of your configuration will determine whether you need to configure these, basically you just need a route for the vSAN interfaces throughout:

2. No, in 6.6 this uses Unicast for all communication (Data to Data, Witness to Data):
