Logs shows it's trying to pull the VIBs from vCenter Smiley Wink not from NSX manager (not sure why - Eng team may know their secret sauce)

Finally went with manual installation:

When I try to prepare the cluster it fail with this error for VIB's installation

esxupdate.log has not much details

Based on search it shows VUM but when I try to change bypassVUM key - it won't get saved

Not sure why this default value make any sense Smiley Happy

When I was asking for a screenshot, I was referring to your first post:

Method Invocation Result: InvalidArgument

NAME TYPE VALUE

faultCause MethodFault Unset

faultMessage ArrayOfLocalizableMessage Unset

invalidProperty string config.scope

VIBs are copied from NSX Manager and cached by EAM which is part of vCenter.

EAM tracks and installs VIBs onto ESXi hosts which is why you see the log from vCenter server.

See this blog post for more details: http://www.routetocloud.com/2015/01/nsx-v-host-preparation/
