lost prod site - force vm poweron on dr site

i have two sites, prod and dr, with vm replica and srm working fine.

now i simulte the total loss of prod site, i have only the dr site, i try to run the recovery plan but it fails complaining that it cannot access prod site srm (which is fine )...but how can i force the poweron of the replica of the vm in the dr site?

You're supposed to have SRM and vCenter Servers at each site, in which case it doesn't matter that the Prod site is down. SRM should be able to failover the replicas at the DR site using the instance that is local to the DR site.

What version of SRM are you using? Are you running the recovery plan as "Disaster Recovery" or "Planned Migration". As previously mentioned this is what SRM was designed for. You don't need to enable forced recovery to use SRM (forced recovery is a very particular use case).
