vm dependency restart condition in HA

About vm dependency restart condition i read more than 5 documents and  understand following :

Are these correct ?

1- guest heartbeats detect : when i select this means while my first vm has been up it will waitn untill

heartbeat detect after heartbeat detect second vm will be restart

2- vm dependency restart condition : for example it is 600s is that means if after 600s first vm did not

detect heartbeat will be restart second vm ?

what will do additional delay ?

Guest Heartbeats Detected: Yes, the second group of VMs( VM group) will be powered on once the first group of VM's heartbeat is detected.

Second group of VM's will wait minimum of 600s for heartbeat. After 600s, They will power on irrespective of heartbeat or not.

For example: If you added Database server in first group and App Server in 2nd group, App Server will wait till the Database server is up and running with heartbeat. If some reason, system unable to get heartbeat, App server waits for 600s before it starts.

This delay ensures that App server is not waiting for DB server indefinitely.

App server is powered on irrespective of DB Server, to avoid manual intervention.  Later on, you can check DB server for missing heartbeat.
