I'm running Debian Stretch amd64, 8-core cpu. So host is linux.
I've tried the following bundles, all with the same error:
VMware-Player-12.5.5-5234757.x86_64.bundle
VMware-Player-12.5.9-7535481.x86_64.bundle
VMware-Player-14.0.0-6661328.x86_64.bundle
VMware-Player-14.1.1-7528167.x86_64.bundle
Bundles indicate installation was successful, but no indication
that they did ? None would launch ! I have un-installed each
before trying another one.
vmware-installer --uninstall-product vmware-player
My previous desktop pc croaked, and this is a new custom
built pc, with a new OS install. I had vmware player on my
old pc with no previous troubles.
I've been trying to get a descent install for almost 3 weeks
looking for answers all over internet !
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
