Thin Provisioning

Hi Experts,

Just wanted a view of the below scenario.

I have a 1 TB Storage LUN and I have created 10 VM's and provisioned each VM 100 GB Thin provisioned LUN's.

Can I provision another 2 VM's and allocate 100 GB Thin LUN to them.

What is the amount of over-provisioning can be done?

Yes, you can.

But you need to monitor free space.

Also note the reclaim the space of the datastore (shrink a thin provisioned vmdk file). For different versions of ESXi, the behavior is different.
