Automating Replication configuration for VM

Hi Friends,

I am currently working on an automation design .We are using the below software versions ,

1.vRA - 7.3

2.vRO - 7.3

3.vSphere Replication - 6.5

4. SRM - 6.5.1

We got the VM provisioning automated. Additionally we got a requirement to automate the configuration VMs with vRep and SRM also so that there is no manual intervention is required. Please could some one suggest whether there is a plugin available for this task ? If yes , details pls.

There is a vRO plug-in for vSphere Replication found here and a vRO plug-in for SRM found here.

I think this is talking about automating the configuration tasks of vSphere Replication. IN our environment, we are not looking for that part.We will be manually configuring SRM/vSpehre Replication. We will be defining the Protection groups etc manually. My requirement is to automate the process of configuring the Virtual Machines under vSphere replication.   We are not using any external storage  , instead we use vSAN.

Once the VM is provisioned via vRA, as a post install task, we want the VM to be enabled under vRep and mapped to appropriate Protection Groups. Please suggest whether any of the workflows performs the same?

It makes no difference. The links to the plug-ins I provided are generic enough to do almost any task with those products, it's simply a matter of doing the "plumbing" yourself from within vRA.
