Missing VDP Backup and Replication Jobs in VCenter web-client

I have a very weird issue.

This morning I rebooted my two VDP appliances and since then all my Backup and Replication Job definitions are missing in the VCenter web-client GUI for both VDP appliances. Also, in the Reports tab the only Info showing up is unprotected clients (which shows the correct VMs not protected); all other info (Task Failures, Job Details) throw an error/timeout

The Backups that had to run after I first encountered this incident this morning did run successfully tho. To me this means that the Job definitions are still present and alive but not showing up in the VCenter GUI.

Any ideas how to fix this? I tried rebooting my VDPs (again), VCenter Appliance, Data Domain Backup Storage. Nothing seems to help...

Environment:

VCenter 6 Update 1 Appliance

VDP 6.1.3

Data Domain 6300

Hi,

Did the VDP perform an automatic rollback during the reboot?
And during the rollback did it go to a checkpoint that was created before the backup jobs existed?
This can be seen in /usr/local/avamar/var/log/av_boot.rb.log

You can grep for a keyword like rollback.

Suhas,

nope, there was no rollback. All backup and replication jobs still exist as it seems (they are being executed with successful results). At least the replication jobs are still visible vrom CLI on VDP (when listing schedules). Its just that the VMWare GUI cannot see/list them anymore. Also the daily e-mail report is not being sent anymore...

When working in CLI on VDP i can see all backup-clients, I have insight into my VMWare Tree. Everything is there. Just not from the VMWare Web-GUI...

any other ideas?

Hello, I have the same problem, the jobs tab (backup) has a backup verification option if you click on it and click on the backup option again the backups should appear, but I do not know exactly what should have caused this . if you have already found the resolution please tell me ...
sorry about my English...

What if you try a tomcat restart on the VDP?

# emwebapp.sh --restart

There is a similar issue I had seen for disk level jobs in 6.1.4 for which a patch is available.

About the email, is the test email failing too? We need vdr-server.log for this.
