Does vROPs track VM virtual Hardware?

Trying to create a View to show VMs affected the Windows 8 and Windows 2012 Server virtual machines fail upon reboot bug:

  • Runing Windows 2012,
  • vCPUs > 1
  • Not on Cluster that are > 5.5 U3 or 6.0b
  • Not Virtual Hardware version 10.

I can do everything in vROPs except report on the VM Virtual Hardware version.   I cannot find this metric/property.   Is this available in vROPs?

Thanks,

I'm almost certain the VM hardware version isn't available in vROps.  I've looked for it a couple of times myself.

I looked high and low.   It is just hard to believe that it wouldn't be tracked in vROPs.

I also noticed that vNIC driver type is not there as well.   Views are so useful,   want to be able to create Views to show old stuff in my environment like vHW and vNIC type (e1000).

Depending of how your Operations Manager is licensed, you can use vRealize Configuration Manager that will give you the report capability that will include what you want.
