I'm doing a simple install of VRA which always fails at 20% , logs are showing same results which is dicussed in vRA 7 : Simple Install fails . Same results for 7.1 and 7.3 VRA

DNS/NTP all other validations are fine.

After checking the logs i found lot of loopback ip check and failures after that. So edited the hosts file(One which is editable) and # the loopback entry ( VRA DNS was already there) and retried the installation and worked flawlessly .

Post full details on your environment and all the setup parameters you're using. Is the step where it fails the same as the post you linked? Before you delete your appliances to start again, run the "date" command on your VA and check time against your Windows VM for drift.

I have tested the installation with VRA 7.1.0 & 7.3.0 , IAAS machine is 2008 R2 and SQL instance is 2012 sp1 64 bit enterprise edition . Yes, installation is failing at 20% with same message.

Note - Time sync is fine

Is this a minimal install you're attempting?

Can you verify the static IPs you've reserved for all the vRA components are without conflict?

Can you verify both forward and reverse DNS are resolving properly?

If possible, post screenshots of the configuration wizard to see what you're inputting.

I've never seen a failure at that point in the installation process, and usually when they occur that early on means there is something fundamentally wrong with the environment and that something was overlooked.

Make sure you use all lowercase when deploying from OVA. It seem to fix my issue.
