I'm new to this forum.
Presently, I am using VMware Player 6.0.6 build 2700073 on Host: Linux, with Guest: Windows XP SP3 using VMware Tools Version: 10.0.9 build-3917699.
My Questions:
1. Is Vmware-Tools version 10.0.9 the most recent version that will run on Windows XP SP3.
2. If there is a newer version, where can I download it.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Vmware tools 10.0.12 does support wiindows XP. see below release notes.

VMware Tools support for Guest Operating Systems in 10.0.12
If there is a newer version, where can I download it.

Thank you for your reply.
With your help, I was able to locate and to extract the winPreVista.iso at the link you provided.
I have successfully installed the newer VMware-Tools version 10.0.12 build 4448496 in my guest Windows XP SP3 o/s and it seems to be working fine.
Since the Windows XP o/s is no longer supported, I expect that version 10.0.12 of VMware-Toiols will be the last tools update that I will have to worry about for this particular virtual machine.
Once again, thank you for your assistance.
