My Device for using Network Traffic in VMs via SR-IOV : Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM57810 10 Gigabit Ethernet cards
Hello Technical Community Resources and Help
"In vSphere 5.5 and later, though a virtual switch (standard switch or distributed switch) does not handle the
network
traffic of an SR-IOV enabled virtual machine connected to the switch, you can control the assigned
virtual functions by using switch
configuration policies at port group or port level."
I found above post in VMware doc so pls what policies i need to configure.

Device using : Network Traffic in VMs via SR-IOV : Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM57810 10 Gigabit Ethernet cards
Regards,
go through the below link for requirements.
go through the below links for configuration
Enable SR-IOV on a Host Physical Adapter
Assign a Virtual Function as SR-IOV Passthrough Adapter to a Virtual Machine
Configure a Virtual Machine to Use SR-IOV
to check the compatibility go vmware hcl.
2) select IO devices under what you are looking for.
3) Select SR-IOV as feature
and you will get a list of adapters that support.
you can cut down the search results bu choosing the vendor etc..
the best option is to search using the device ID,SVID,VID etc which is the 1st thing I asked.
If you N/W card is not listed under the devices then the configuration will not work
I checked as you suggested its showing in compatibility list
VID:14e4
DID:16ae
SVID:14e4
