in vmware document read about proactiveHA  i understand it can monitor hardware status esxi hosts

if one of below hardware show alarm it will be migrate vms according to proactiveHA failure and response

  • Power Supply
  • Memory
  • Fan
  • Storage
  • Network

what doest that means for exmple if one of my esxi host power supply fail it will be migrate a few vms

or if it detect one of my memory has been damaged it will be migrate a few machine?

Also, the docs are ambiguous as to what you need to do this. Do you have to purchase orchestrator and stuff to do it?

If so, why call it a feature if you have to buy something else to use it?

Because you don't necessarily have to buy anything else to use it, but you do have to have a provider which is registered as a plug-in. The documentation also states. this.

No, I did not say that. I said you have to use a provider which registers as a plug-in. For HPE, it's OneView which is a paid product. For Dell, it's OpenManage. Each vendor has their own solution.
