How to Automate upgrade of ESGs

Hello,

i just did an the first NSX upgrade in my life (from 6.3.3 -> 6.3.5). I was struggling with the WebClient (nsx controllers reported "disk is read only" for no reason, after several tries i restarted Chrome and everything was fine).

But i have an other request for futher upgrades.

Our NSX is running in a Integrated Open Stack (VIO3.1) environment. Currently we have 84 ESGs / Logical Router Objects and its increasing daily.

How to automate the upgrade of ESGs / logical router objects. Clicking every object in the webclient drives me mad.

I checked powerNSX, API Guide and Orchestrator but did not find any option for upgrading the ESGs.

Did i miss anything?

There is a section in the nsx api guide

Example : Upgrade vShield Edge Request:

POST https:///api//4.0/edges/{edgeId}?action=upgrade 

I believe same step should work for NSX managed Edges as well. Do you mind testing the step on a test edge and confirm the results ?

Currently i don't have any EDGEs avaiable for update. But i guess the next NSX update is cooming...
