Vmware vRealize Operation Manager 6.6.1 - General Report Error

Hi All,

I get problem with my vROP environment. My version is 6.6.1 (the latest version so far).

In relase note, VMware stated that they already resolve about report generate issues in earlier version. But in site, I still get general report error when I run template (Datastore Growth). I really need this datastore growth report for now.

I test randomly, this error report also happen in all template report available. Should I edit template report first to run normally?

Anyone knows where to check about vRop configuration to fix this issues?

any help will be very appriciated.

Here are s few suggestions to help find the problem:

  1. Are you able to run the report manually with success? If not, you'll want to check your views to make sure the data selected is valid for the objects being reported on. If you can run the report manually without error, check the settings for your SMTP server and/or file server location so make sure the reports can be sent or published
  2. You can look through logs to spot possible errors. Look at /usr/lib/vmware-vcops/user/log/analytics-<UUID>.log directly on the appliance or in the vROps GUI: Administration > Support > Logs > Analytics > analytics-<UUID>
  3. Check the permissions for the user account configured to run the report. If you're logged in as the same user for #1 above and it runs fine this isn't your issue, but if you do get errors it might be permissions related for the targeted objects of the report
  4. One last suggestion is to look at the built-in "Self Cluster Statistics" dashboard and check the available disk space under CPU/Memory/Disk
