Welcome to the Community,
the name that shows up in your posts depends on your profile settings, and who's watching the threads.
Unless defaults changed, all users will only see your community name, except for you when you are logged in.
As a moderator I can see your real name, but if I'm not logged in (or use my non-moderator test account), I only see your community name.
You can change the settings in your profile. Just select "Edit Profile" from the drop-down list, when you click your name in the upper right, and select the "Privacy" tab. Set "Visible to" for the profile fields - which you want to keep private - to e.g. "Yourself".
