Can't download, what am i doing wrong?!?!

Hi there,

I am trying to download the Standalone converter but it won't let me!  I've registered and signed in and in the 'Download Packages' section i am just getting 2 version history boxes and no download option.

Am i having a moment here?  Or am i missing something?

Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this question, it seemed like the best place to start.

Thanks

SR

Have got a copy from one of our VMWare guys.  Weird the site doesn't seem to be working though.

Hi uksrogers,

Thanks for posting in the Converter Community.

Converter 6.1.1 can be downloaded from -

https://my.vmware.com/group/vmware/get-download?downloadGroup=CONV611

I checked and found that the download page is live and lists the correct build number.

Best,

Hristo

Does your thanks mean you were able to use that link successfully? It took me on a circular adventure right back to the same maddeningly blank page described in the original post.  I've tried 4 browsers on three different operating systems, so I'm pretty sure it's not a browser compatibility problem, though what IS going on escapes me atm Smiley Happy

Hi Greyfin10,

The link I posted above is a direct download link to the Converter 6.1.1 installation package. There are no re-directs at this URL.

May I ask at which URL did you start your adventure?

Thank you,

Hristo

Hi there,

Well, it looks like it's back today!

The page i was going to was here - https://my.vmware.com/en/group/vmware/evalcenter?p=converter

but i also tried going to Downloads -> vCentre Converter from vmware.com.  I even got a colleague to try independantly and he had the same issue.

Yesterday i only got two Version history boxes, with nothing in, but now i get the download box and version history.

Thanks to everyone that took the time to respond to my message.

The looping path started at the product page; it was fairly easy to add it to the queue of products I am marked as having "registered" (terminology might be wrong there).  Once that occurred and I saw only the two (empty) sections, I thought that the link might me on my product downloads tab.  It wasn't, but everything I did took me to the product page, which then redirected me to the empty download page.  I just now tried it again, and as was mentioned by someone else, it seems to be working this morning.  I will say I was working on this last night from home (so, from a different address), but it seems more likely that the page was in flux for some reason.

I think I'm going to download the thing and put it on a flash drive though... just in case Smiley Wink

Greyfin10, uksrogers,

Thank you for your input.

Converter Standalone 6.2 is available for download at -

https://my.vmware.com/group/vmware/info?slug=infrastructure_operations_management/vmware_vcenter_con...

The obsolete page in Evaluation Center - .../evalcenter?p=converter - is deleted. Ditto about the redundant redirects.

Happy holidays,

Hristo
