VMware View Error: vCenter at address https://<vCenter>:443/sdk has invalid credentials

Hi,

I got this warning on specific time in View server: vCenter at address https://<vCenter>:443/sdk has invalid credentials.

I verified my vCenter credential, it's correct but I got this error more and more.

Did anyone find a solution to this? I am getting the same thing. Using vCenter appliance 6.0 U2 and Horizon 6.2.2. If I use my own account to connect vCenter then I don't get any errors but as soon as I put in the service account, I get the error.

This issue is still present using Horizon 7.3.1 / vCenter Server 6.0.0 Build 5318203.

I had the same issue, it pop's up once and awhile and inputting the creds again fixes it.

thanks!

Hi,

My finding:

Connection Server uses old password for the given account.

It causes account block acording to existing locking policy.

Restarting SSO or the whole vCenter Server unlocks the locked account. So the workaround described in this thread resolves temporarily the problem.

But the real problem are the wrong credentials used by the Connection Server for vCenter's SDK authentication.

It's not very easy to change the wrong credentials inside the Conection Server because the account is nerly permament locked.
