Timeout issue when using custom interface

I am trying to connect a Ubuntun VM to GNS3 topology and getting timeout error to connect the network interface, later I start the VM without GNS3 also see that timeout, the VM work fine with NAT, Bridge and host-only adapter but only get timeout when choose a custom adapter ...

Hi kktam ,

Did you check 'Provide addresses on this network via DHCP' for the custom network, it could be enabled via Fusion Preferences->Network.

Hi Nancyz,

My fusion preference don't have "network"

But even I use static address, it didn't work, I directly connect it to the NAT cloud and capture the traffic on the link, it show it is not connected, tried with Window VM, it is the same

Ubuntu direct connect NAT wireshark.jpg

Seems the vmnet cannot connect to the GNS3 add all, but there is not much can setup either on fusion or GNS3.
