Is there any limit for the Storage/LUN Over provisioning from vSphere?

VMware document says maximum LUN size is :  64 TB

What is the % of over provisioning that we can do on this LUN from VMware?

Like I can over provision 1.5 times which means 64 + (64/2) = 96 TB

Is there any such limit set by VMware - per data store?  We have 8 TB LUN and trying to over provision it as 72 TB with thin provision for testing purposes.

Is that possible to perform over provisioning beyond certain limits of the data store size?

There's no limit that I've ever heard of or experienced.

But this

We have 8 TB LUN and trying to over provision it as 72 TB with thin provision for testing purposes.

seems like a terrible idea. Why would want to over provision your datastore by 900%?

We are testing our storage products and over-provisioning is a MUST requirement Smiley Happy

Well it's up to you, but over-provisioning of storage is always a dangerous proposition because of how quickly actual consumption can get away from you with no restrictions in place to halt it. At 900%, that's just crazy.
