Workload on VSAN stretched cluster

Hi,

I am planning to implement VSAN stretched cluster a cross two sites and I would like to create VMs on the VSAN stretched cluster with out any replications. Would it be possible ?

Hello vSohill,

Yes, of course other Storage Policies (FTT=1/2) can be applied to other Objects/VMs - the capability to assign different policies and characteristics to different VMs is a key aspect of vSAN and the basis of SPBM.

Hello vSohill,

Yes, it is possible in vSAN 6.6 to create FTT=0 (single data replica) VMs on a stretched cluster. However do note that these will have no redundancy and are required to be configured with site/FD affinity via the Storage Policies.
