VM will not start

I increased the amount of memory using the VM settings from 1024 to 2014.  I got the error below.  Therefore , I changed back to 1024 and I still get the same error:

Could not create anonymous paging file for 1024 MB.  The paging file is too small for this operation to complete

Module MainMem power on failed

failed to start the virtual machine

Looks like antivirus, host pagefile, and disk defrag are possible culprits.  Have you gone through those previously?
