folder redirection on UEM

hi

i have installed UEM server , we created a second disk to put on it al the data  "user data including desktop , document and setting ...."

i made all eth step but its not making teh redirection , if i use GPO folder redierction it working , how to make it from UEM

Looks good, since its working with gpo than permission/sharing settings should be ok.

I would check the UEM logs that would show any errors that might need to be addressed.

Separate point, but I would not recommend redirecting AppData - it's best to leave that squarely on the local C: drive of your desktops. Everything else, no problems.

I've seen some absolutely awful issues with redirecting it over the years - from applications that break because they're hardcoded to user c:\users\%username%\appdata, to performance issues due to the user profile not being local to the desktop.

my problem that its not redirecting , for the performance we can configured later on but the main issue is to solve the redirection issue

hi

i changed the permission to admin group and now its working , can you send me the permission needed for end user since i give them now full permission

depends how you decide to manage the permissions, in my case, I have them owner(most important - FR won't work without it) and full access to their home directory, but I need to create the folders manually, which in turns makes sure that users cannot save in other none designated folders

but most use the following, set and forget minus my last point above
