Last week I did the VCAP6 Deploy exam (and passed!!!)
What is your experience with the 'new' hands-on lab like lab environment? Overall my experience with the lab was good, but during the exam i noticed that the lab was terribly slow a few times.
I made sure that i didn't have too many windows opened at the same time but even with 1 putty session and 1 chrome tab (for vSphere web client) the exam console was freezing a lot of times for 10+ seconds.
Quite annoying when you already have little time.
The strangest part of the exam was the end. I literally ran out of time so an "Exiting" pop-up showed up at my screen and the console session directly logged out.
After that the Global Knowledge login screen appeared. Yes, the screen where Global Knowledge Employees need to login before they select and start your exam.
I didn't get any kind of confirmation that my exam was finished, completed or even successfully delivered to VMware/Pearson VUE.
The employee told me that she also didn't get any confirmation at her systeem. I had to call Pearson VUE myself (~30 minutes phone queue) to ask if something went wrong with my exam.
Not so nice experience when you're tiered, sit for 3 hours and when you're already stressed out because of the exam.
Is this normal behavior when you ran out of time in a VCAP exams?
Despite that, i'm very glad i've made it!
