Fusion10, Win10 Creators Edition and Unity Mode

I'm using MacOS High Sierra and I run Outlook for Windows primarily in my VM. And generally only in Unity mode. There were issues when rebooting after the Creators update, so I ended up making a fresh VM. The problem is, that since I started using Win10 Creators, the Outlook window keeps going to black for a few seconds before recovering. It does this constantly, and is very annoying. Using Single Window mode is a pain, because the group policy for the company forces the screen save on after 10 minutes. Is there any fix coming soon?

Fusion 10 on macOS High Sierra has _serious_ problems with Windows 10!

Better don't use it (if you can).

There are quite a number of threads on this topic... people reporting about bluescreens and a bunch of other

problems.

The reason is (probably) an incompatibility between Fusion 10 and the new AppleFS.

Yeah, I don't think I really had any problems with the previous version of Win 10. This only started happening with the latest one.

Hi,

There's a known issue with Windows 10 Fall Creators edition and the display driver supplied via VMware Tools.

Please see latest reply by Mikero at: Windows 10 - black screen after login

Yeah, but I don't get that. It's fine in Single Window mode. I don't get a black screen then. Granted, the Unity issue that I have is probably due to the graphics driver, but it's not quite the same symptom. It sounds like the screen stays black after login for that other issue. With the Unity issue, it flickers now and then between being a black window and showing the real Outlook info.

That post did help though! I shut down the machine, turned off 3D graphics acceleration, and the flickering problem seems to have gone away. So I'm a happy camper again.
Thanks!
