in the did just release those shiny new drives:
Intel® Optane™ SSD 900P Series
They are not on the HCL, I hope they will be added soon. I was wondering why those are listed as consumer products, they have Power Loss protection, price is a fraction of a SAS drive one could use for caching.
You should probably ask Intel that question, could have to do with endurance for instance
endurance is also fine, 5 or 8 PB written. I hope you at VMware will evaluate it for inclusion in the Hcl
We won't. Intel decides what they put on the HCL not us. They have the option to go through the certification if they like for this device. I will point someone from Intel to this thread.
