Event Filters on vCenter Event

Hi All,

I had a problem. My monitoring system (zenoss) need to logon esx in order to monitor esx and vm.

Any time it logon an event message raised.

I used the following procedure: Filtering logs in VMware vSphere ESXi (2118562) | VMware KB

to filter messages in log files and it works, I don't see logon event in log files (hostd.log),

but i still see these events if I look at "Events" in vCenter Client.

Is there any way to apply filter on vCenter Client too?

Thanks in advance

Alex

I don't think is possible. It is possible to filter the view in the Web Client but it is limited and only applies during you active session. When you log in again, the filter needs to be applied again.

It is really a bad news.

Any suggestion for a filter in web client to show all messages except those which contain a word (for example),

After a bit of trying out the filter option, I concluded the filter in the Web Client does not accept 'regex-ish' queries. It is only possible to show events which match the filter, not filter out those events.
