Does the Provisioning Machine have to be domain joined for App Volumes?

If not, how do you find it in the App Volumes Manager? When you go to assign the appstack you have to search for the provisioning machine. IP address doesn't work. So does the provisioning machine have to be domain joined in version 2.12.1?

Hi,

I think vmware changed these setting in one of the latest appvol releases.

All my provisioned vms are normaly domain joined. To be sure, I have no dedicated provisioning vms for appvol. I do this directly on one of my linked clone/instant clone test-pool.

You can try to enable the option "allow non-domain entities". This options is in the appvol manager --> configuration --> ad domains.

That option isn't available in version 2.12.1

Take a look to my screenshots...

My provisioning was domain joined. I switched it back to a workgroup. Now the computer object appears twice.
