I've found a bug in the german translation in the webclient of ESXi 6.5.0 Update 1 (Build 6765664). In edit virtual machine hard disk settings or in add new hard disk "Disk Provisioning" shows three options. In the english translation the first option is thin provisioned, the second and third option thick provisioned. In the german translation all three option show thin provisioned which is wrong:
