If the vCenter Server is installed on a dedicated physical server outside the esxi cluster, can i still use snapshots for vCenter Server itself?
if yes, where will the snapshots be stored?
does your Dedicated physical server is ESXi ?
If yes, you can take a snapshot of vCenter. usually, the snapshots will be stored along with Virtual machine files.
If No, you can not use the snapshot for your vCenter servers itself.
If I understand correctly, you have installed vCenter on a physical machine with Windows OS. In that case you wont able to take snapshot.
