Stacked graph shows similar CPU usage pattern amongst all VMs on the host

Hello folks,  one thing that has puzzled me, is that when I look at CPU stats with the stacked graph option, it shows me that all the VMs on the host share a similar CPU usage pattern in MHz.

Now, I realize that these VMs all run on the same host and it is this host that owns the physical CPU, so that yes it is only natural that when a VM spikes up so should the host usage, to a degree of course, but what I don't quite wrap my head around is why I see that the usage patterns of almost all the VMs seem to share this same pattern of spikes, even if just a smaller version of it.

- is it possible that because 1 VM with multiple vCPUs (4,6 or 😎 is spiking it creates a condition where the other VM's incur a spike due to scheduling?

I'm wondering if anyone has any plausible explanation of why this occurs.

If you have vCenter, then restart "vpxa" service.
