Student Guide -VMware NSX: Install, Configure, Manage [V6.2] - On Demand

I have recently subscribed to on demand course. I would like to know is there a way I can at least get Student Manual?

I understand On Demand course is self-paced 30 days. After 30 days course gets removed from subscription/enrollment page. Does it mean even Student Manual is valid only for 30 days?

With Great Regards,

Lucas just to inform you, in the new model, they have made transcript accessible even after you complete your course.

See here. I only meant to update the thread. Of course, it might be too late for you.

For others, now you also get the VCP Vouchers with the exams when you purchase on-demand course.

With Great Regards,

I thought you had access to an electronic student manual, with all courses - regardless of the mode of delivery.

Hi There,

I have checked with Education team. I got a response that manual is limited to the time of the training.

Also, I have not seen anywhere it mentions that student manual is limited to 21 days?

I express my displeasure with VMware Education team. I have paid the same amount one will pay to attend live/classroom training but still, you are treated as a 3rd class citizen.

It is difficult to digest the concept of on-demand course/content especially when an individual is charged the same premium amount for classroom training but viewed as a un-needed customer.

This unfair treatment means the on-demand course is the least preference ? should future candidate think not to go for it?

I hope the Education team take this matter seriously and charge differently or provide the consistent experience across all the training delivered.

It just doesn't sound logical for not providing manual when you pay the full amount.

It is shameful that VMware can afford to follow such unfair policy without giving any consideration for the premium amount (their hard earned money) individual are paying for the course.

On-demand means no travel/expense costs, when compared to attending in-person.

Student guides are electronic, regardless of the modality of class delivery - I don't know if there is a difference with student guide access if you were to attend in-person.

I was just trying to help, I think I'll leave you to talk directly with the Education team.

Hi,

i think the problem he had was that if you do a classroom course you get a code which you can redeem on virtualsource.com. After this you can access the Course Manual from all over the world when ever you want.

But if you do some on demand training you dont get this code. You have to print out your course manual and if you miss the possibility you loose this content. After finishing the lab it wil be not possible to access the content again.

It would be nice if on demand courses would provide the virtualsource.com code as well

greets

I would rather read this "Problem with the way course delivered" It is VMware Education Services problem, not my.

It is highly unexpected of VMware Education Service who choose to keep response as brief as possible "Education manual is not available on Demand". (Full Stop)

"Education manual is not available on Demand". (Full Stop)

Hi,

its true. Its a problem of VMware EDU Services which I think it easy to fix but not jet done.

In your post before you said that the Education Manual where availiable only in the course time. Now you say its nt availiable at all.

The thing is. There is a Education manual in the on demand courses. But its not accessible any more if the course is completed.

But you can export the Manual while printing a pdf file. In the old courses this was a little bit complicated because there where a Manual for each Module. Provided as links in the Lab Manual. In the newer lab where Content and the Lab are delivered in two different pices its more easy. In the content area of your course you can download the "Course Manual" from the Content Menu.

The real problem is that if you finished your course and you had not download the Manual... its lost.

sry if I understand something wrong
