LVM lost FSTYPE can't mount drive

I have an issue with a drive that has VM's loaded on it that I need to get off. I believe they are still there, but I can't mount the drive to get the information off. it was a Proxmox 3.4 server. I tried to vmfs-fuse the partition, but it give me an ioctl error "Inappropriate ioctl for device'.

I have been scouring the forums and the internet for hours trying everything I can find, but I can't access the data.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

vmfs-fuse version 2.5.1 is too old for current ESXi versions.
So please specify what exactly you tried and which ESXi build you use.
Read Create a VMFS-Header-dump using an ESXi-Host in production | VM-Sickbay
and consider to provide a download link then I will check it.
