I can't understand your question. Are you asking about home lab setup system RAM and CPU allocation ?

Please consider marking this answer "correct" or "helpful" if you think your query have been answered correctly. Thanks, Srini

I agree with Srini, this isn't really something that the forum can answer for you.

Perhaps it might be simpler to think about the requirements that the OS' and applications you are looking to install?

Look at the configuration guides for the medical application/database and information from Microsoft for the recommended specifications for the AD environment, DNS, file and print services.  Use those requirements as your guide and then see how they fit on the virtualisation platform that you have available.

The following is a link to the VMware SQL best practice guide;

Here is similar for Microsoft AD services;

Best of luck

Hi,

It looks, you are using VM workstation on an physical windows server. Am i right?

If it is so, you can see the recommendation of running windows server and the VMs which you are running on Vmware workstation (i.e Vcenter, File server, AD etc).

That would be the best suited to your environment.

Thanks

Seems you are setting up the small environment under hardware resource shortage, try below:

4vCPUs each on both DCs, make sure to select 1 socket and 4 cores.

8 GB of RAM on each DC.

and Other 8 GB of RAM on SQL VM and 2 vCPUs.

NOTE : Above assumption is based on the small environment having few users which will authenticate, use File sharing , use Printing and with low usage applications.
