Hi,

The first issue is , when I was trying to  logon to the vcenter using vsphere client  getting the following message ":Cannot complete login due to an incorrect user name or password".

But no one changed the password

is that bug ?

Then I restarted the vcenter .

Or in case If we want to reset the local admin password ?

Thanks

When it's saying local admin, it says for administrator@vsphere.local (default admin user of  default SSO domain vsphere.local) This is configured while vCenter installation so when you get this type of credential errors you could check with this login first to troubleshoot issues. When you see these password errors check with this user and check keyboard language locale or check with other user who has access.

Secondly, the error of service unavailable is mostly come due to services, so If you just have power on vCenter or it was rebooted then wait for some time to services to come up properly as initialization take some time based on the configuration. Also need to check DNS name resoultion, port number and client name resolution of machine from which your'e accessing vCenter from.

About how long ago was this vCenter deployed? By default, the administrator@vsphere.local password expires after 90 days. (See Edit the vCenter Single Sign-On Password Policy). Is there another single sign-on user with administrative privileges that can reset it?
