Probleme bei Installation VMWare Workstation 12.7 unter LEAP 42.3

Hallo,

ich habe seit ein paar Tagen das OS openSUSE Leap42.3.

Ich habe das Betriebssystem upgegraded von Leap 42.2 auf Leap 42.3.

Unter Leap 42.2 lief VMware einwandfrei. Jetzt nach dem upgrade nicht mehr. Üblicherweise meldet sich VMware Workstation, wenn ich es auf einer neueren Linux-Version anstarte mit der Meldung, daß einige Module neu kompiliert werden müssen. Wenn ich das abnicke, dann werden die Module neu kompiliert und danach läuft VMware einwandfrei.

Hier nicht: Ich erhalte eine Fehlermeldung. Wenn ich diese richtig verstehe, dann beschwert sich der Kompilierungsprozess, daß ein Aufruf der Routine "get_user_pages"  zu viele Aufrufparameter hat.

Download einer frischen Version von VMware bringt nichts. Ich erhalte dabei zwar die Meldung, daß die Installation erfolgreich war. Wenn ich danach aber VMware anstarte, dann will der Prozess trotzdem Module kompilieren und dann lande ich schließlich wieder bei diesem Fehler.

Log-Datei des kompilierungsvorgangs habe ich angehängt.

Gibt es irgendeinen Workaround? Hat irgendjemand eine Idee, was ich machen könnte?

as far as I can see, the solution described doesn't solve my problem.

I changed those 3 files, put the files modified back into the tar files and tried to compile everything.

I don't know why, but the modifications suggested did not change anything.

also upgraded my LEAP 42.2 to 42.3.

Looks like I run into the same issue as Nukleus2014.

Attached is the log which looks very similar to the one from Nukleus2014.

Unfortunately the solution suggested by hendrikw84 does not solve my problem. I have to give some correction to my problem too: I didn't want to run Workstation Pro 12.7 under Leap 42.3, but to run Workstation Pro 12.5.7 under Leap 42.3.

Meanwhile I tried to upgrade from openSuse 13.2 directly into Leap42.3, which didn't help. Problem remained as before. I use Leap 42.3 with kernel vmlinux-4.4.79-19-default, which is another kernel as what hendrikw84 used.

I still have 2 operating systems, which both work with Workstation Pro 12.5.7, and which I still may boot at any time: openSUSE 13.2 and Leap 42.2. There is the disadvantage only, that openSuse 13.2 no longer is supported by SuSE.
