Hello everyone, everything good?
In my scenario I'm having a problem
I'm hoping for help from you,
On my virtual machine A that there was a virtual disk A (there was a snapshot of 12-07)
I made a new installation of a virtual machine B where I pointed the virtual disk A However, when you rewired VM B with disk A, the current date information 28-07 was lost and assumed the date of 12-07 Can someone help me for God's sake?
I do not have backup sorry,
my english
I thank you

a.p. Any other attempt I can make?
I'm afraid there's not much I can do. However, once you provide the files I asked for in reply #15, I'll take a look at them.
André
The base disk's descriptor is missing.
Please provide "disco dados.vmdk".
André
I assume that the VM is still powered off.
At this point you should see the virtual disk's name "disco dados-000001.vmdk" in the GUI, and it should display the provisioned size (~465GB)
If so, take another snapshot, and power on the VM. If the data looks as expected, consider to run e.g. chkdsk to fix possible data corruption.
As a last step - once everything is up and running - delete all snapshots from the Snapshot Manager (using the "Delete All" button).

Hi andré
The machine has connected and is repairing the
At the moment it is already more than 10 minutes in 69% and I am waiting.
Is it locked?
I'd suggest you remain patient, and let Windows finish the repair.

Hi, André
I want to thank you first for the great help you have given
Some files have been recovered others are showing 0K
Is there any way to reverse this?
Thank you so much
When I'm in São Paulo - SP, I'll offer you a lunch
Is there any way to reverse this?
Can you please clarify this question. I actually don't exactly understand what you need.
When I'm in São Paulo - SP, I'll offer you a lunch
Thanks for the offer. Does this offer hold true once you are in Germany 😉
André
Some files within the operating system have been corrupted, are 0 kb in size
Soon, I'll be in Germany to have lunch with you, at least now I'm still employed.
I'm afraid that this is something that needs to be fixed by restoring the files from the backup.
Snapshots only contain changed data blocks (i.e. they are not file based) with a reference to the original location in the base .vmdk file. The degree of corruption depends on how long the base disk was used without the snapshot, i.e. how much data was modified.

a.p.
Really my data some of my data was lost, sniff
But it helped me a lot.
I have no words to thank for this help.
- Another question I have, if you can help me
How do I set up an external HD Seagate 1TB Model SRD00F1
Is it possible to add it?
Grateful
Marcos
How do I set up an external HD Seagate 1TB Model SRD00F1
Setup for what purpose, i.e. what are you trying to achieve with the external disk?
André
I would like to keep the external hard drive to archive backup's
The software "see" to save via network is very slow.
Do you have any suggestions for me?
How do you currently backup the VMs?
In case you want/need a backup archive, the best option would probably be to have this archive managed by the backup application.
André
As the virtualized environment is extremely new to me, today I have no application installed for backup, even for this reason was caused this fatality with vmdk. I am planning for this, but I have little experience in the subject
Backup and Restore is very important, and requires good planning. It's not easy (almost impossible) to recommend something without knowing the complete environment (physical and virtual).like the number of servers, operating system, disk sizes, networking, currently used backup solution (other than for VMs), backup target (disk, tape, etc.).
I cannot promise you anything, but if you provide as much information as possible, I may be able to give you some hints. Other than this it might be an option to get professional help from a company near you.

In my view, my structure is small
I HAVE 50 MB / S INTERNET AND LITTLE TIME I CONTRACTED THE GOOGLE DRIVE OF 1TB, WOULD IT BE BACKUP IN CLOUD OF THE FILES ON IT WITHOUT AFFECTING THE PERFORMANCE OF THE NETWORK?
TODAY I HAVE 30 ONLINE USERS, THE MACHINE I AM USING AND A DELL R530 WITH 32GB DDR4 RAM
I HAVE 2 DISKS OF 2TB IN RAID 0 - TOTALING 2TB OF SPACE, I HAVE 2 EXTERNAL FAST DISK (USB) OF 1 TB FOR BACKUP OF THE VMDK'S
I have 4 VM's
- WINSERVER 2012 - DOMAIN CONTROLLER, FILE SERVER (DISK 1 = 400 GB DISC 2 500 GB) ****
- WINSERVER 2012 - DOMAIN CONTROLLER, FILE SERVER * MIRROR (EXECUTE SYNC VIA "COBIAN BACKUP OR OTHER MODIFIED FILES NOT PREVIOUS DAY) (DISK = 400 GB)
- DEBIAN - GLPI SYSTEM FOR OPENING INTERNAL CALLS (DISTRIBUTE DOES NOT NEED TO BE AS FREQUENT) (DISK = 20 GB)
- BIT DEFENDER ANTIVIRUS SERVER (BACKUP DOES NOT NEED TO BE AS FREQUENT) (DISK = 200 GB)
MY PRIORITY IS THE FIRST SERVER.
Thanks a lot
With what you write, I assume that you are using the free Hypervisor license for the ESXi host, which limits the available VM based backup applications. Currently only HPE VM Explorer comes into mind, which however doesn't support file level restore in the free version.
Other than this you may e.g. export the Debian, and Bit Defender VM as OFV from time to time, and use agent based backup for the two DCs. Maybe Veeam's Endpoint Backup is something to consider for this.
