Mac VMware Fusion 8.5.8 (5824040) and High Sierra Public Beta # 3 and Windows 10 Bluetooth issue.

Hi All,

So the subject line gives the vitals: I'm on Mac VMware Fusion 8.5.8 (5824040) and High Sierra Public Beta # 3 and Windows 10 64 Home.

It's a freshly installed VM. It runs perfectly.

However, when I shutdown Windows and the VM, my Bluetooth connected keyboard and mouse disconnect, and they don't come back. The only fix is to hard reboot my iMac.

Anyone having similar problems and found a fix? I hate to run the Tech Preview if it doesn't fix this. Does it?

- Thanx all!

Hi All,

When I search on VMware Fusion and OSX Bluetooth issues, I find a TON of people that have had this exact problem for years and years, over many versions of both VMware Fusion and OSX. I've yet to see a solution.

In my previous incarnation of VM, with Windows 7, I had a similar problem - where my Bluetooth connected mouse and keyboard disconnect, but then reconnect after a short time. Now, with Windows 10, it's worse - it seems that the entire Bluetooth stack is completely dead until I reboot...

VMware, are you aware of this ongoing issue, and if so - is there hope?

- Thanx!

Ok, I opened a case and VMware walked me through completely removing VMware Fusion (using AppCleaner for good measure) and then re-installing the Tech Preview, and it FIXED my issues!

Hope this helps someone else!

- Thanx
