Can I bring back the files from VMware session to local workstation?

It looks like the only way I can use to bring back the files is to email myself

Please let me know if there is any other way to copy files from VMware session to local workstation.

Yes, it is part of the Horizon View agent installation. The admins of your VDI infra will need to update the Horizon Agent to include the Client Drive Redirection component and update your desktop. Also, if the component is not there then there must be a reason why it has been removed - normally it is due to regulations or company policies around data loss prevention (DLP).

Supposedly with View 7, you can at least copy/paste clipboard contents back and forth, but this hasn't been consistent for me.  I am also curious if you can upload/download files as this is commonplace with Citrix.

If you have client drive redirection enabled in the view agent then you will have access to the local drives from where you are running the Horizon client.

I do not see any where to change that setting

Do I need the system admin to change in the server/software installation and not in the VMware session?

Thanks

Thanks for your answer/suggestion

You are very knowledgeable.

I also have a question about the pw

I cannot enter/key in my pw, the only way I can do is cut and paste.

When the session got time off, I will need to sign off and back again every single time

It  looks like there is a problem for the data I enter/key in.

I never had a problem with any other VPN connection log in.

Could you please let me know if there is any setup need to change?

That is weird but I will need more information on this. Where are you not able to enter the password? Are you using Horizon Client to login for VPN or some other solution?

I never had problem with my key broad to enter pw thru any VPN (Pulse Secure, Global Protect, Cisco AnyConnect, Network Connect, SonicWall NetExtender etc) but I have a problem to enter my pw.

I need to sign off and back into the session since the session does bot recognize the entered pw.

I also tried to cut and paste but the system will not take that either.

I am available if you need to remote into my session to see the problem.

Thanks
