Teaming 4 NICs with 1Gb speed must give me a NIC with 4Gb speed in a VM?

Hello.

My server has 4 NICs and each one has 1Gb speed. I'm using NIC teaming but my Windows machine NIC just show me 1Gb speed. Is it OK?

Thank you.

Basically yes. What you may be looking for is link aggregation for the physical uplinks, which is only available with Distributed Switches (and the appropriate license).

As a side note, the uplink speed that's shown in the VM is not necessarily the actually used speed. Think of setting up the VM with a virtual "vmxnet3" network adapter. In this case the VM will report a 10 GBit/s adapter, regardless of the physical connection.

Why 10 GBit/s? It must be 4 GBit/s.

How many NIC you assigned to VM

Which teaming software are you using '

If you assigned 4 NIC to VM and each have 1 GB speed , then it will show 1 GB

Elaborate your question.
