Templates not visible while designing Blueprints

Hi Team,

I have added my Vcenter endpoint to VRA. My cluster names are visible and am able to see all the datastores listed when planning a reservation.

Now I have given Data collection requests which is all completed.

When creating a new blueprint, say for example creating for a windows server 2008 deployment, On build information, I have provided for Clone as an Action, now when browsing Templates, it is blank.

Have tried marking the template as virtual machine and reverted back so that it gets re-registered to compute resources, but still I am seeing blank page.

Appreciate if anybody can help.

Thanks.

Hey Guys.

Actually I had this issue on Last Friday, when validating today found that issue is fixed and am able to see the templates successfully showing up when creating blueprints.

I guess the problem is it had got updated slowly though the Inventory synrchroization is been complete.

Thank you so much for your replies. I have done what was mentioned in your statements already.

Hello Roger15,

Can you let us know what is the version of vRealize automation ?

Confirm whether you are using the right Fabric Group – Navigate to Infrastructure -> Compute resources, from here you can view the Fabric Group name. Once confirming the Fabric group name, ensure templates exists in the appropriate vSphere Cluster.

Run the vRA ‘Data Collection’ –> Infrastructure -> Compute Resources -> Compute Resources, Choose appropriate Compute Resource, choose‘Data Collection’, then click ‘Request now’ under ‘Inventory’.

If the above steps do not work, please post vSphere agent logs.

Something else to check:  If your templates are registered to a host in a separate cluster from where your workloads are deployed, you have to also add that management cluster into your compute resources and create a reservation. You can use the lowest priority for this. Without doing so, those templates will not show. Also, ensure your data collections are actually succeeding by looking at the Infrastructure log.
