Site Recovery Manager (SRM) Deployment

Hello,

I have 3 Vcenters with embedded PSC on Site A and want to know how  architecture is suitable to configure SRM for recovery site (SITE B)

Should i install 3 SRM VMs linked to each Vcenter (enable Enhanced Mode) on site A and make pairing on SITE B with 1 Vcenter and 3 SRM VMs?

Need help for the suitable architecture that i can use .

Assuming your recovery site will be a shared recovery site for your 3 vCenter from the Main site, you should install SRM in a shared recovery site configuration.

Read more about SRM shared recovery site on the following links:

Your idea is correct (what you are ending up with is what would look like a shared recovery site (single VC multiple SRMs) at Site B and treating the multiple VC/SRMs at site A as "remote sites").

Make sure to read the documentation for your version of SRM about setting up a shared recovery config. In 5.8 and higher this process is much easier.

Hi,

It is important to note that you cannot 'enable' Enhanced Linked Mode in vCenters with embedded PSC. This functionality is automatic when vCenters belong to the same SSO domain (i.e. the PSC to which they are registered are replicating their VMDir directories). Embedded PSCs cannot be set up to replicate their domains as per the following VMware KB:

https://kb.vmware.com/kb/2108548

However, this does not preclude you from setting up SRM in the way you described. The only issue this will cause is that you will only see one vCenter instance when you log into the Web Client. Outside of that, the only thing you need to consider is to ensure that each SRM pair is given its own unique site identifier. Please see (which is for 6.5, but is also relevant for 6.x):
