How to configure and find 2 NICs in VM

I am facing an issue to configure 2 NICs on newly created Virtual Machine.

I want to see 2 NICs inside windows machine (Network & Sharing Setting) so I can configure 2 IP address 1 for Internet and 1 for Local LAN. On VM setting I already created 2 Network Adapters and assign 2 Port Groups to (Network Adapter 1 & Network Adapter 2) which I already created on Standard Switch.

I already assign 2 Separate Physical NICs on Different Port Group. (1 NIC for Internet Port-group & 1 NIC for Local LAN Port-group) But on Vswitch side I can find my VM under 1 Port Group. How I can fix this issue so on windows machine I can find 2 Network Adapters?

Are you able to configure both vmnics inside guest OS ?

From what I understand, it may be an issue with configuring the wrong port groups, i.e. VMkernel port groups instead of Virtual Machine port groups!?

What you need is to have two separate Virtual Machine port groups in the ESXi host's network settings, Then connect the of the VM's virtual network adapters to those port groups, and finally configure the network settings within the guest OS.

If you did this, and it still doesn't work, then please post a screenshot of the ESXi host's network configuration (vSwitches, Port Groups), and attach the VM's configuration (.vmx) file to a reply post.

I successfully added 1 VNIC to Virtual Machine and tried to ping from VM to its Gateway which I created on Physical Switch. now I am not able to ping this VM from LAN and from VM to its SVI.

The Steps I followed mention below:

1: Create a  Separate Port Group for that VLAN (172) inside Virtual Standard Switch

2: Assign 1 active Up-link Port & 1 Standby Up link Port to that Vlan (172).

3: Inside Port Group allow Security Setting

4: Then Created a New VM (Windows) and assign 1 Network Adopter with Specific Port Group (Internet-Vlan)

5: Assign IP Address to VM ( 172.20.20.200). Its Gateway address (SVI L3 Interface) already created on Physical Switch so VM can ping it directly.

6: Firewall already disable on Windows Server and Correct Network setting applied also

Can you please double-check whether VLAN 172 is on the "allowed" list on the physical switch ports?

The Ports are trunk (Switchport Trunk allowed vlan all) on Physical Switch and I also check in UCS Manager that Vlan already added.

Did my Configuration are correct related with the Standard Switch and Port Group ?

If Yes then what are other possible options we need to check?

The VM's settings seem to be ok, as there's not much that can go wrong anyway. If the physical port settings are ok as well - as you confirmed - it may be some configuration in the UCS Manager that needs to be done.

The observed IP ranges in the vSwitch information pop-up you posted, show only two VLANs for which traffic has been detected. Now this is only a observation of active traffic on the vmnics, but maybe it helps to further troubleshoot the issue.
