I have fiddled around quite a bit right now on how to update a the current storage Profile from a vApp and a vAppTemplate to a new one (including moving the VM to the new Storage Profile/Datastore). We are migrating the Storage and have created new StorageProfiles for the new storage and now I need to move the vApps and the vAppTemplates to the new Profile.
It seems according to the API that you should be able to do this using a vmModify request since the relocate is now deprecated (VMware Documentation Library ) but I'm not sure how one would do this through the PowerCLI commands. Also I found this link Change vCloud vApp/VM Storage Profile with PowerCLI | Matt Vogt which describes what I actually need to do to a certain degree but seems that his version was only for vCD 5.1 and does not work anymore with vCD 8.2 and PowerCLI 6.0.3.
Does anyone have some inputs for me on how I could script the two above tasks?
