Esxi unreachable by vSphere and cannot ping it after iDrac firmware and bios update

Hi,

I am fairly new to vmware and esxi.

I have esxi 6 running on a Dell PowerEdge R730, and hosting a bunch of VMs. I updated the dell firmware, bios and lifecycle controller, and typically restarted the system. The update went fine and started the VMs and they are back and normal. The problem is that I cannot reach esxi by vSphere, nor can I ping it.

Note: i still have access to esxi through Dell's iDrac console.

I checked the IP v4, DNS, and GW, all seem to be fine. I even did a reboot, and restarted network management adapters on esxi few times, but still same issue.

Any idea how to solve this?

Thanks.

Are you able to ping any of the VMs in this ESXi? What is the network setup? Is the ESXi management on different set of NICs then the VM traffic? Have you tried the network connectivity test from within DCUI? What was the result of that.
