Unable to reset administrator@vsphere.local with vdcadmintool.exe (failed 9106)

I'm trying to reset the administrator@vsphere.local password but it fails every time...

Please select:

0. exit

1. Test LDAP connectivity

2. Force start replication cycle

3. Reset account password

4. Set log level and mask

5. Set vmdir state

  Account DN: cd=administrator,cn=users,dc=vsphere,dc=local

VmDirForceResetPassword failed (9106)

Anyone know how to fix this ??

Hi,

Have you tried the following steps from KB  Error: "VmDirForceResetPassword failed" while resetting the SSO administrator password using vdcadmi...

1. Log in to the system using the local administrator account.
2. Run the vdcadmintool command again.
