Change VLAN Id for VXLAN

Hi,

We need to change the VLAN id for the VXLAN.

Our system are:

- vCloud Director 5.5.x

- vCNS, vShield Manager 5.5.x

- vCenter 5.5.x

How do we proceed to change the VLAN Id to a new one for the VXLAN?

/Tony

I tried to do this today to change the VLAN id.

- Logged in to vcns and Network Virtualization - Connectivity - Edit.

- I then unchecked the box Use.

- Then Next and then Finish.

But I got this error message: Cluster Clustername is still in use by one or more VDN Scope.

What does that error message mean?

The reason why you are getting that error is because the cluster on which you are unchecking the VXLAN is still consuming few virtual wires. So try to delete those virtual wires and remove the clusters from transport scope and re-try the operation. Since you have VCD involved - ensure that you delete all VCD vxlan wires from VCD itself - followed by VCNS removal. On a lighter note you  can make use of API calls to change VLAN-ID if the normal operation doesn't work.

Thank you for clarifying it for me.

I haven't done what you have said yet but we will try it at a scheduled time later on.

Thank you
