I´m trying to do a silent install, and it works except the TSSO switch. When I start the client the "always connect to this server at startup" is not checked.
Here is my commandline: VMware-viewclient.exe /s /v /qn RebootYesNo="No" REBOOT="ReallySuppress" VDM_SERVER=server ADDLOCAL=Core,TSSO,USB DESKTOP_SHORTCUT=1 STARTMENU_SHORTCUT=1
Any ideas?
Where did you read that the TSSO option sets "always connect to this server" ? TSSO is shorthand for TripleSSO, i.e. the "log in as current user" functionality.
Thank you for clearing that out for me, it was a bit confusing. I
ts there a swicth for autoconnect? or can that be done in same other way, like in the registry?
It can be done via GPO (which sets Software\Policies\VMware, Inc.\VMware VDM\Client\ServerURL) or as a command line parameter (-serverURL), full details are in the admin guide.
Hi,
first of all: my reply is related to the NEW Horizon client 4.5.0.
TSSO is shorthand for "True Single Sign On":
Introducing True SSO (Single Sign-On) in VMware Horizon 7 - VMware End-User Computing Blog
This is a bit confusing, because the MSI-Feature, Title and description state the following:
Feature | Title | Description |
---|---|---|
TSSO | Log in as current user | Sign on as currently logged on user. |
And feature "TSMMR" is not documented/described anywhere?!
