vmnic supported os's

we have a mixed bag of operating systems, I found this article and wanted to be ensured that this is still the case that you cannot add a vmxnet3 nic to:

windows 2000

NT

And that I can at least go up to vmxnet correct?

Hi Chadrodriguezaz

The VMXNET 3 adapter is the next generation of a para virtualized NIC designed for performance and requires virtual machines version 7.

yes, Windows NT and 2000 doesn't support this advanced adapter vmxnet3.

I believe you have already looked this Kb: - Choosing a network adapter for your virtual machine  Smiley Happy
