No communication between guests in VM Workstation Pro

Ive recently downloaded and installed VMWare Workstation Pro for a college class of mine. The task was to install 3 guess; two servers running Server 2012, and a normal Windows 8.1 OS machine, with one of the servers being a domain controller. I have all of the machines set on the host only network type. My main issue is that i cannot get my Windows 8 machine to join the domain provided by the server. I try it and it tells me "An Active Directory Domain Controller for this domain cannot be contacted." After this problem appeared, i tried pinging the machines from each other and it just tells me that its a general failure.Ive tried a number of things and now ive run out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

Dear Sir,

You please try to set static IP in your client machine and set the Preferred DNS IP address has your server machine IP address.

Also disable the windows firewall in all client and server machine.
